# Use the AI support agent

> Ask the NowOS agent a question, find a previous request and understand which information it can access.

The AI support agent answers questions about the backoffice, the POS and NowOS
configuration. The **?** button remains available in the bottom-right corner of
the backoffice.

## Ask a new question

1. Click the **?** button.
2. Click **New request**.
3. Describe what you want to do or the problem you encountered.
4. Send your message.

For a useful answer, include:

* what you want to accomplish;
* the step where you are stuck;
* the message shown on screen, if any;
* the location concerned, if your workspace contains several locations.

For example: "I changed an item's price. How do I send the change to my
registers?"

The agent searches the NowOS documentation for procedural questions. For a
connectivity or pairing question, it can also read the current main register
and device setup for the location.

<Note>
  The page you opened helps the agent understand the context, but does not limit
  your question. You can ask about another topic.
</Note>

## Find a request

Click the history icon in the support panel. Requests are shared with other
workspace members who can access the backoffice. A badge on the **?** button
shows how many new answers you have not read yet.

The request creator can archive it. An archived request remains available to
read, but no new message can be sent. Requests cannot be deleted.

## What the agent can do

The agent can:

* search for a procedure in the official documentation;
* know the active workspace and location;
* list the locations you can access;
* check whether a main register is configured and read the paired-device
  status.

The agent cannot change your configuration, publish a catalog, pair a device,
issue a refund or act on your behalf.

<Warning>
  The agent uses AI and can make mistakes. Check sensitive actions and seek
  professional advice for legal, tax or accounting questions.
